Maryland Sportsmen's Caucus Support Chesapeake Clean Water & Restoration Act
The Maryland Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus recently sent a letter to their counterparts in Virginia, Pennsylvania and New York requesting Caucus support for the Chesapeake Clean Water and Restoration Act of 2009 (S.816 and HR 3852).
"We have never asked our fellow Caucus colleagues to join us in supporting federal legislation," said Sen. John Astle. "We truly believe the Chesepeake Bay restoration effort-evidenced by our join support for enactment of S1816 and HR3852-is worthy of such a first.
The letters, dated February 3, follow the Maryland Caucus' letter of support for the legislation to the sponsors of S1816 and HR3852, Sen. Ben Cardin and Rep. Elijah Cummings.
