Celebrating Five Years of Success

NSSF and NWTF Continue Support of Sportsman-Legislator Summit

They were there since before the beginning and they continue to be a strong force in the support and success of the National Assembly of Sportsmen's Caucuses. For the fifth year in a row the National Shooting Sports Foundation is the Title Sponsor of the NASC Sportsman-Legislator Summit. In 2003, realizing the potential and need for organizing state legislators into sportsmen's caucuses and having an organization to serve as the coordinator, NSSF provided CSF with $25,000 seed money to begin the planning and build the infrastructure to launch NASC. They have been a key partner ever since.

Joining NSSF in their support, the National Wild Turkey Federation was a founding council member of the NASC when it was launched at the first Sportsman-Legislator Summit in 2004 at Lake Whitney, Texas. NWTF has been an active partner of NASC and at the state level NWTF State Chapters have been engaged. NWTF continues their partnership this year through state chapters and at the national level as a Host Sponsor of this year's Summit.

The NASC Sportsman-Legislator Summit is the most important event of the year for NASC State Sportsmen's Caucuses and partners. It is the only forum that provides a venue for focused discussion and interaction among state policy makers and the hunting and fishing community. Find out more information.
