Illinois Governor Quinn Restores $9.25 Million In Conservation Funding
Illinois Governor Pat Quinn signed Senate Bill 1132, which returned $9.25 million in wildlife conservation funds that had been taken from the state budget. Those funds and their use were restricted by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. U.S. Fish & Wildlife had given a February 1 deadline for returning the funds. The governor also named Marc Miller as the new director of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
