CSF Board of Directors Welcomes Jeff Angers
May 29, 2009 (Washington, DC) - Jeff Angers of Baton Rouge, La., President of the Center for Coastal Conservation, was recently elected to join the Board of Directors of the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation.
"I have long respected the work of CSF and the Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus and am honored to serve on the Board. CSF plays a vital role by ensuring that public policymakers at all levels of government understand the value of our sporting heritage," said Angers.
Angers (BIO) has headed the Center for Coastal Conservation, a national coalition of the leading advocates for conservation and marine recreational fishing and boating, since it was founded in 2006. In this position, Angers has become a prominent player in the policy and legislative arena for angler access and sound management of America's marine resources.
"Jeff Angers' extensive experience in the political arena and his expertise in fisheries, boating and conservation issues will play a critical role in helping he Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation advance our goals," said CSF President Jeff Crane.
Angers takes the position formerly held by Ron Stoupa, who recently resigned from the Board of Directors. Stoupa is a longtime supporter and CSF Board member. He will continue to serve the sportsmen's community in his new endeavours and CSF wishes him the best.
