Sportsmens Community To Gather In Washington, DC September 15
July 28, 2010 (Washington, DC) – The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) will hold its 21st Annual Banquet & Auction themed “Working with the Hill: Keeping You in the Field” on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill, 400 New Jersey Avenue, NW in Washington, DC.
A 5:30 pm reception and silent auction will precede the dinner and live auction beginning at 7:15 pm. This year’s event is hosted by Anheuser-Busch, Amgen, ATK, Cabela’s, Dallas Safari Club, Diageo, Ford, Intermedia Outdoors, National Shooting Sports Foundation, Remington, Sportsman Channel, Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America and Yamaha.
“We expect the biggest and best event in the history of this banquet,” said CSF President Jeff Crane. “Thanks to participation of the members of the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus and the support of our sponsors, the sportsmen’s community can gather to recognize our common bonds and dedication to conservation.”
This year’s event will provide a forum for sportsmen and wildlife enthusiasts to gather and discuss current legislative issues and celebrate the strides CSF and the Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus (CSC) have made in keeping sportsmen in the field.
“The CSF annual banquet allows members of our Caucus to meet with the leaders of the hunting and fishing community in order to acknowledge our joint efforts in wildlife conservation and hunting and fishing heritage,” said CSC Co-Chair Rep. Dan Boren.
Last year, at the 20th Anniversary banquet, more than 50 members of Congress, and over 500 fellow sportsmen, including government officials, congressional staff and outdoor industry representatives celebrated the founding of the CSC and CSF.
The 2010 auction will include silent and live auctions and raffle, featuring such items as: guided hunting and fishing trips, vacation getaways, numerous rifles, shotguns and pistols, and luxurious fur coats.
