Sportsmen, NASCAR and Country Music Join Forces For Wine, Wheels & Wildlife

October 15, 2010 (Lexington, NC) -   The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF), along with NASCAR legend and CSF Board of Directors member Richard Childress and country music star Craig Morgan celebrated America’s traditions of hunting, fishing, stock car racing and country music Wednesday night at Richard Childress Vineyards in Lexington, North Carolina.

The 6th Annual “Wine, Wheels & Wildlife,” event brought together hundreds of the nation’s leading sportsmen and women with political leaders and representatives of NASCAR to enjoy an evening of outdoor activities including archery, fishing, wild animal exhibition, skeet shooting and tours of Childress Vineyards.

BNA Records recording artist and host of Outdoor Channel’s “All Access Outdoors” program, Craig Morgan, entertained guests with his hits “This Ain’t Nothin” and “International Harvester.”

The annual event serves as a valuable platform to bring three common constituencies together in order to underscore the importance for hunters and anglers to have a voice in the halls of government.

“I am honored to again be involved with the Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation as a member of the Board of Directors and as host for this wonderful event in order to support efforts to keep sportsmen and women in the field,” said Childress.

“Once again the sportsmen’s community came out in full force to celebrate the legacy of this lasting partnership and support our efforts,” said CSF President Jeff Crane. “Richard Childress, Craig Morgan, NASCAR and political and outdoor industry leaders really stepped up in helping us put together the largest and most successful Wine, Wheels & Wildlife event to date.”

Title sponsors for the event were ATK and Shell. Sponsor of the outdoor activities was Bass Pro Shops, dinner was sponsored by Safari Club International, and dessert sponsor was Sporting Classics magazine.
