National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers Announce CSF Grant
November 8, 2011 (Reno, Nevada) – The National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW) recently announced a $25,000 grant to the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) at the 2011 NASGW Awards Dinner.
“NASGW has been a long time supporter of CSF and they continue to recognize the importance to the sporting goods industry of remaining proactive in the political sphere, and recognize that the best way to influence pro-sportsmen policy decisions is to support the work of CSF and the various sportsmen’s caucuses,” said CSF President Jeff Crane.
Jack Baumler, NASGW Chairman, and Kent Williams, NASGW Vice-Chair, presented the award to Laurie Aronson of the CSF Board of Directors, on the opening night of the organization’s Annual Meeting and Expo held at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada.
Aronson, President of Lipsey's and Haspel, said, “CSF promotes, protects and advances the rights of hunters and anglers and provides access and a voice for sportsmen with elected officials and allied industry groups across the nation and because of organizations such as NASGW, we are able to further our mission and work towards legislative solutions that benefit sportsmen and women across the country.”
“We are delighted once again to provide CSF with funding for this most important effort on behalf of outdoor the sporting industry,” said Maurice (Moe) Desmarais, President of NASGW. “Our members wholeheartedly support CSF’s mission and vision.”
