Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation Has Two Immediate Openings

November 2, 2011 (Washington, DC) - The Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF) is seeking to expand its current staff in order to further its mission of promoting, protecting and advancing the rights of hunters and anglers.

CSF works alongside the nearly 300 member bipartisan Congressional Sportsmen’s Caucus (CSC). In addition, CSF also works with the National Assembly of Sportsmen’s Caucuses (NASC), a network of 39 state legislative sportsmen’s caucuses, as well as the Governors Sportsmen’s Caucus (GSC) made up of 24 governors. 

CSF is seeking an experienced Fundraising Consultant to expand its current fundraising program by contributing to development efforts, and also seeking a Communications Manager to coordinate media operations. Reporting to the President, the Fundraising Consultant will be primarily responsible for developing new donors for CSF.  The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of development/fundraising and have established relationships with the Foundation, outdoor industry, and donor community.

The Communications Manager also reports to the President and duties include writing and placing press releases, providing media outreach to both mainstream and outdoor media, and producing and managing content for the CSF website and social media outlets. This person is also responsible for building a database and cultivating relationships with media, assisting the policy team in tracking relevant legislation, supporting the outreach team with professional branding, editing the monthly newsletter, and coordinating interview opportunities.
