CSF Board Chairman Tom Baker Named to Outdoor Life 25

November 17, 2010 (Washington, DC) - Tom Baker, Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation (CSF), was recently named to the 2010 Outdoor Life 25 for the magazine’s annual recognition of men and women who have changed the face of hunting and fishing.

Often referred to as the "Kentucky Elk Man", Tom Baker was instrumental in the successes of the Kentucky elk restoration project during his tenure as Chairman of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He has also worked to ensure the future of habitat for elk and other wildlife across North America and was active in completing a record number of conservation easements to permanently protect 55,702 acres.

Baker has served the last two years of Chairman of the CSF Board and has been a member of the Board since 2005. He formerly served as district commissioner and past chairman of the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources Commission, a governor-appointed panel. He also is a past director for the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Foundation, and a member of the Boone & Crockett Club.

“No one individual that I can think of deserves this honor more than Tom Baker,” said CSF President Jeff Crane. “Tom has led our Board during a time of tremendous growth and accomplishment and has a lifetime of valuable contributions to the hunting and fishing community.”

When he's not hunting or volunteering for fish and wildlife conservation, Baker can be found working as Managing Director of Coldwell Banker Commercial Legacy Real Estate Group in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
