PrintNew Mexico Sportsmen's Caucus Takes to the Dove Fields
Hosted by the Southern New Mexico Chapter of SCI, members of the New Mexico Sportsmen's Caucus took to the dove fields for a day of camaraderie and to enjoy the tradition they work to defend and promote in the state legislature. Attending the event was NASC State Caucus Manager, Bethany Erb as well as NASC partners Mark LaBarbera with SCI and Ryan Bronson from ATK. Ammunition for the dove hunt was donated by ATK.
The dove hunt was followed by a reception and dinner fundraiser that was attended by more than 100 people from the conservation community. "For the 5th year now, SCI has sponsored this fundraiser for our Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus and we had another great turnout. This year we raised the most money yet! We're proud to have partners from SCI, NWTF, ATK, and hunters and anglers throughout the state of New Mexico continue to support and engage us," commented Caucus Co-Chair Rep. Candy Spence-Ezzell. A portion of the funds raised from the event will be used to send members of the New Mexico Sportsmen's Caucus to the 5th Annual NASC Sportsman-Legislator Summit.
