Wine, Wheels & Wildlife

The Congressional Sportsmen's Foundation (CSF) and Richard Childress, NASCAR legend and CSF board member, celebrate America's outdoor traditions at the annual Wine, Wheels & Wildlife hosted at Childress Vineyards in Lexington, North Carolina.

"America’s hunters and anglers are NASCAR fans. When they are not watching or attending a race, they are outdoors. It gives me great pleasure to be able to combine three of my favorite passions to champion a worthy cause." – Richard Childress

About Richard Childress

NASCAR racing legend, Richard Childress joined the CSF Board of Directors in hopes to bring the same level of enthusiasm and dedication he brings to racing to ensuring the rights of hunters and anglers. Childress is as much about giving back to wildlife, hunting and fishing as he is about being a successful business man.
Childress is president and CEO of Richard Childress Racing (RCR), an 11-time NASCAR championship-winning organization. As an independent driver who got his start in 1969, Childress climbed out of the seat in the 1981 season, handing over the driving duties to Dale Earnhardt. Together they made NASCAR history, by winning 67 races, six Sprint Cup Series championships and establishing RCR as one of the premier teams in all of motorsports. Childress is also the proprietor of Childress Vineyards as well as the cattle ranch, Yadkin River Angus.

Richard Childress not only has a passion for big-game hunting but also for national and international conservation efforts. His work with groups like the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the North Carolina Wildlife Habitat Foundation, among many others, provides him the opportunity to make a difference in conserving wildlife habitats for generations to come.

"I like to give back by helping organizations that I know are making a difference in our hunting heritage. CSF has been the one organization that has stayed focused on the legislative side of ensuring hunting and fishing for today and the future. Hunting access to land and water and thriving wildlife lies as much in politics as it does in conservation. I am honored to be able to do my part by serving on the CSF Board." - Richard Childress
