Tennessee Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus
Tennessee was one of the 21 original state legislative sportsmen's caucuses that united to form the National Assembly of Sportsmen's Caucuses (NASC) in December of 2004. After functioning independently within their own state legislature, Tennessee policymakers now had a common network for the interaction of ideas and a resource to help advance issues important to sportsmen in their home states.
With over 130 legislators in the Caucus, the Tennessee caucus has been on the front line for sportsmen.
As an important outreach to both constituents and fellow legislators, the Tennessee Legislative Sportsmen's Caucus has an annual Sportsmen's Day at the Capitol.
The Volunteer State's 775,000 hunters and anglers spend $1.3-billion annually and support 22,500 jobs.
