Ohio Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus
in
In November of 2005, Ohio legislators joined together for their first caucus meeting, and to announce that they had become the 26th state to join the NASC. Ohio legislators have been long-time advocates of sporting constituents, promoting legislation to ensure that hunting and fishing license dollars cannot be diverted for non-conservation programs and eliminating barriers to hunting.
Ohio currently ranks 9th in spending and 4th in total sportsmen nationwide. The Buckeye State's 1.5-million hunters and anglers spend $1.9-billion annually and support 33,000 jobs.
