Iowa Licenses for Nonresident Disabled Hunters
Good news for out-of-state hunters with disabilities that know about Iowa's outstanding hunting opportunities but have previously been restricted from obtaining a deer or turkey hunting license.
The Iowa Sportsmen's Caucus has been on the forefront of helping hunters with disabilities pursue their passion to hunt by championing a bill that authorizes the issuance of special nonresident turkey and deer hunting licenses to persons who are twenty-one or younger and who have severe physical disabilities or a terminal illness. The bill was signed by the Governor on April 4, 2008.
