In September of 2004, over twenty legislators joined together in Sacramento to announce the formation of the California Legislative Outdoor Sporting Caucus becaming the 21st in a growing network of state legislative sportsmen's caucuses focused on preserving and promoting outdoor traditions.

Ranking 3rd in the country, The Golden State's 1.7 million hunters and anglers spend $3.6-billion annually and support 53,500 jobs.
